HOW LUCKY has been selected to screen at RAPID LION ; The South African International Film Festival , Johannesburg in February
Freya was delighted to be asked to chair a panel at Afrika Eye – the South West’s biggest celebration of African cinema and culture . The Festival includes a lively and diverse programme of new-to-view films, discussions, family workshops and live music. After a screening of documentary MANENBERG, Freya discussed the the notion of Observational Documentary with Filmmakers Rob Mitchell and Alistair Cole (Colours of the Alphabet)
NAHEMI PANEL at AESTHETICA FILM FESTIVAL
Freya Billington chaired a screening & panel discussion entitled 'Establishing The Filmmaker' for #NAHEMI at the Aesthetica Film Festival, York. The screening i ncluded a varied programme of some of the best films from recent Graduate and Post-Graduate NAHEMI and several of the filmmakers participated in the panel afterwards.

NAHEMI ENCOUNTERS FILM FESTIVAL SCREENING
Freya organised then introduced the NAHEMI ENCOUNTERS FILM FESTIVAL SCREENING of the best of recent UK Student work. A mixed programme of drama, animation, documentary and experimental work, was selected from a huge number of submissions from Graduate/Post Graduate Film Courses around the UK. Awards for BEST FILM, CREATIVITY AWARD and AUDIENCE were then presented by IFeatures Executive Producer CHRISTOPHER GRANIER-DEFERRE (Lady Macbeth, The Levelling) and there was much schmoozing and networking in the bar afterwards. Freya is on the Executive Board for NAHEMI - The National Association for the Nigher Education in the Moving Image.
