Entering the film industry Assault course
ANTF (Annual National Teaching Fellows) SYMPOSIUM 2016 : Serious Play: Playful Learning
Freya presented paper on the fictional ‘Entering The Film Industry: Assault Course’ something she devised with her colleagues in Film Production UoG. There is much interest currently about the role of play in fostering and energising, engaging learning and learners which is something Freya is a real advocate of / believer in.
‘I will talk through the assault course as a physical construction set up on the lawn outside our office. Each obstacle will represent something the students will encounter as they attempt to enter the film industry, the physical realisation of some of the actual difficulties they will encounter. The output will take the form of a paper and I am hoping will culminate finally in the slide I have wanted for some time, which goes straight out of my window onto said lawn.
